Tucson Festival of Books

Book Signing Event in Tucson

4 Comments January 17, 2024 Jessica McCann

The Tucson Festival of Books author selection committee has invited me to appear in the Indie Author Pavilion. This is the first time I’ll be attending the festival as an author, and I’m thrilled.

I’ll be on hand for a few hours on Saturday to chat with attendees and sign books. Come one, come all!

Visit my author page on the official festival site for the latest information.

When news first broke in Phoenix of the terrorist attack in New York, the director at my son’s preschool rushed across the street to the fabric store. She bought a giant box of safety pins and every spool of red, white and blue ribbon they had on the shelf. By the time parents started dropping off their kids, she handed us each a patriotic pin and assured us she’d do all in her power to keep our children safe that day. TVs were turned off and caretakers were instructed not to discuss the terror in front of the children. Check out this special box curated by my publisher for the anniversary edition of my novel All Different Kinds of Free. Includes a signed hardcover and a collection of bookish and story-inspired items to make your read even more immersive and special. 📦📖😍 Save the date and join me at the inaugural @historythroughfiction Virtual Book Festival, Saturday, November 14, 2026. Free & Online! Bringing together readers and authors from around the world for live conversations, interactive panels, and community like only historical fiction lovers can create. Includes a Community Read book club discussion of All Different Kinds of Free featuring yours truly and moderated by @ellereadslibrarybooks. My latest #BookLove e-news has a hardback historical novel giveaway, my favorite books on writing, and the Oxford University library cat. Dust storms and dusty air like we've been experiencing in Phoenix the past week always make me pause and think about the people I researched when writing my Dust Bowl novel.
